POLICE: Uber Driver Slashes Passenger's Arm with Knife During Argument

CHANDLER, AZ (KPHO/KTVK) - An Uber driver in Arizona was arrested for aggravated assault after slashing a passenger's arm with a knife, according to the Chandler Police Department.

Police said to CBS Phoenix the Uber driver drove two men from Scottsdale to the area of Frye Road and Arizona Avenue in Chandler late Sunday night.

Sgt. Joe Favazzo said one of the men started arguing with the driver. The driver stopped the car and the two men continued arguing outside.

At some point, the argument turned physical. Favazzo said the driver pulled out  a razor blade knife and slashed the man across his arm.

The victim suffered a small cut and was treated at the scene. That man was also arrested for his involvement in the fight. It's not clear what charges he may face.

No names have been released.
