Police searching for suspects wanted for stealing college textbooks at various UW campuses

UW-Green Bay University Police need help identifying two individuals related to the June 10th daytime burglary of an unoccupied office within an academic building.

They are wanted in connection with the theft of high-value instructor level textbooks.

The two individuals are either directly involved or have knowledge of the perpetrators of the crime.

During the investigation, police learned that over the last few months other University of Wisconsin campuses have been victimized in a similar fashion with the target of the crime seeming to be focused on the theft of instructor level textbooks.

It is possible that the individuals are not local to the Green Bay area based on the locations of the other UW incidents.

If you have any information on the identities of these individuals, you are asked to contact UW-Green Bay University Police at 920-465-2300 x 2 or by email at [email protected].

UW-Green Bay Public Safety released a statement on Facebook saying, "Security of individuals and resources on our campus and across the UW System is a priority. All tips and information are helpful to this investigation and in preventing this from happening at other campuses."

The investigation remains ongoing and no further information is being released at this time.
