Police Search for Man with Gun on Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis Campus
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Dec. 15, 2015)– Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) issued an alert Tuesday, saying a person with a gun was reportedly seen running toward campus, according to CBS 2.
They advised students to take shelter, lock their doors and follow official instructions. Anyone not on campus is advised to stay away until an all clear is issued. The alert came out at 3:10 p.m.
The suspect was reportedly seen running toward campus from the 700 block of Blake Street after an armed robbery. IUPUI described the suspect as a black male, 6’3″-6’4″ with a black hoodie, blue jeans and a hat with yellow writing.

This situation began as an armed robbery in the 700 block of Blake Street.
No injuries reported in aforementioned armed robbery.
No suspect has been located, but IMPD continues to investigate and is lifting the "shelter in place." Exams are on.
There will be an increased police presence on campus Tuesday night, according to to a tweet by the university.
