Police Pursuit in Middleton Ends in Multiple Crashes and Two Pedestrians Struck

MIDDLETON, Wis. (CHANNEL 3000)- A vehicle that was part of a police pursuit has struck two people and may be connected to nearby crashes in Middleton Thursday afternoon, dispatch says.

Dane County dispatch said to Channel 3000 that police had been pursuing a vehicle at 3:45 p.m. Law enforcement terminated the pursuit at 3:53 p.m.

Shortly after the pursuit was stopped, the vehicle police were pursuing was headed west on Century Avenue and struck two pedestrians near Donna Drive and Frank Lloyd Wright Avenue, dispatch said.

An alert from the city of Middleton at 4:21 p.m. said Century Avenue is closed between Branch and Parmenter streets. Officials told motorists to plan an alternate route. The alert said officials did not know how long Century Avenue would be closed.
