Police: Man shoots, kills self during traffic stop at Brookfield Quality Inn

TOWN OF BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the parking lot of the Quality Inn, located at 20150 W Bluemound Road early Saturday morning around 12:22 a.m.
The Waukesha County Communication Center informed officers that the driver had a felony warrant for his arrest.
Officers attempted to take the man into custody when he pulled out a gun and shot himself.
The Town of Brookfield Police Department has requested that the Wisconsin Department of Justice and Department of Criminal Investigations conduct an investigation.
The investigation remains ongoing.
