Police investigating 5 shootings in same night: 1 fatal

MILWAUKEE-- Police are investigating several shootings that happened on the city’s north side on Friday night.


One of those shootings was a homicide that happened around 8:50 in the 3000 block of N. 12th St., where police say a 27-year-old male was found suffering from a gunshot wound and died at the scene. Right now, they say they have no motive or suspects in custody.


 Police also say a double-shooting happened around 12:00am in the 3500 block of N. 6th St, where a 43-year-old man and a 33-year-old man were shot outside of a tavern. Both people were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. There are no suspects in custody.


Police are also investigating two other shootings, one in the 4700 block of N. 36th St., where a 51-year-old man was approached in an alley during an attempted robbery. A 16-year-old female was shot as she sat in her house in the 2500 block of W. Chambers St.


Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment of what appears to be minor injuries. There are no suspects in custody for either incident.
