MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A 12-year-old is one of five people in custody after a police chase involving a stolen car ends in a three-car crash overnight, according to investigators.
According to Wauwatosa Police, a Jeep was taken in a robbery in Milwaukee on November 12. After spotting the vehicle around 10:30 Tuesday night, Wauwatosa Police tried to stop it, but the car took off. Police followed the car to 25th and Wells where it crashed into another car that then crashed into two parked cars, leaving one of the cars on its roof. A witness saw the whole scene unfold.
“We just saw about 6, 5 or 6 police cars chasing this 2016 Jeep down Marquette Ave. over here. Apparently it flipped. It was pretty scary. It was a wild ride,” said Kyle Carcamo, who witnessed the crash.
Wauwatosa Police say seven people were hurt and one is still in the hospital, however all are expected to be okay.
Police say five people ranging in age from 12 to 17 were taken into custody.
