Police Arrest Man who Stole Hundreds of Items

According to Port Washington Police on Sunday, November 20 at 3:26 AM a north side resident called police to report someone trying to enter her residence. Officers responded and after a brief foot chase took the suspect into custody.

The suspect who lives in Port Washington's north side told police he had a drug problem and had been breaking into homes and cars for a while. A search of the suspect's bedroom produced hundreds of stolen items from laptops, to jewelry and even prescription medications.

Police still have plenty of items to looks through but have already connected the suspect to at least six burglaries and dozens of thefts from autos.
