Police: 8-year-old boy injured in shooting near 32nd and Brown

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating after an 8-year-old boy was injured in a shooting Wednesday, Sept. 23.

Authorities say it happened near 32nd and Brown Street around 10:13 a.m.

Police say the child sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.

This is the third time a child has been shot in Milwaukee within the past five days. 

On Saturday, Sept. 19, a 2-year-old boy was shot in the head, and a 16-year-old was killed in a road rage shooting on the same day.

A 1-year-old was also injured by broken glass from a shooting on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
