West Bend (CBS 58)--If you like miniature golf and supporting a good cause all at the same time, there’s an event coming up just for you. “Putt4Pledges” takes place on Saturday May 9th, National Miniature Golf Day. People raise pledges for the event and take 10 putts on a hole they designed at their house, business, or local course. All the action is live-streamed on a preferred platform. The fundraiser benefits the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
Event organizer and "mini" golf master, Karl Barth, wants people to get creative and have fun at the same time. In terms of that perfect hole-in-one, he says to aim for a nice, smooth stroke. You don't want to tilt the club. He also advises to keep it nice and level and keep a level head as well since the pressure can get to you sometimes.
Golfers who participate get a sticker, t-shirt, and “light up” golf ball. There’s also a people’s choice award and a grand prize of more than $3,000! If interested in signing up, just click here.
