MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 44-year-old woman is dead after a stabbing near 36th and National Thursday, Feb. 5, according to the Milwaukee Police Department.

The medical examiner's office identified the victim Friday as Amanda Varisco. Officials say she sustained multiple injuries after a reported argument with an intimate partner. 

Milwaukee police say a 39-year-old was arrested.

The case will be reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
