Pedestrian killed on I-41 in Germantown

GERMANTOWN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A man ran into traffic on I-41 in the Village of Germantown late Saturday night, was struck by a car and killed.
According to the Germantown Police, the adult male ran across the highway near County Line Road and was struck by a southbound vehicle in the center lane of I-41. The victim died at the scene with injuries the Police say are consistent with a traffic crash. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
Around 11:44 PM, Germantown Police were called to a business in the area of County Line Road for the report of a disorderly individual. But before the Police arrived, the subject left the business on foot. According to the Police, while they were looking for the subject, a motorist reporting a collision with a pedestrian on I-41.
The name of the victim has not been released pending the notification of next of kin.
The circumstance surrounding the incident are still under investigation.
