'Paw-some'! Petfest returns to Milwaukee's lakefront Sept. 25 🐾

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The “ultimutt” free pet and family-friendly Fromm "Petfest" returns to Milwaukee's lakefront on Sept. 25. This year's event has new activities for both four and two-legged attendees.

According to a news release, festival-goers can also expect to see the return of their festival favorites such as dock diving, lure and agility courses, the Doggie Dash speed trial, costume contests and much more. All on-leash vaccinated cats and dogs are welcome to join the festivities.

Extra health measures will be in place to help create a safe and welcoming environment for all who wish to attend.

New this year is Ernie’s Birthday Bash. Ernie will be celebrating his eighth birthday all day long and everyone is invited.

Other activities include a complimentary photo booth, Lap Dog Lounge, and register for a chance to win a photoshoot with your animal pal by Jen from Dogs of Milwaukee.

Parking and admission is free

Proceeds from ticket sales for activities will be donated to several animal-related non-profits including The Wisconsin Humane Society, MPD K9 Foundation and K9 units throughout Southeastern WI and Southeastern Guide Dogs.
