Paving project on North Broadway in Milwaukee expected to last five days

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works will conduct a high impact paving project on North Broadway from East Clybourn Street to East Kilbourn Avenue on Saturday, October 7 through Wednesday, October 11, closing intersections as needed to pave them (except Wisconsin Avenue).

Saturday, October 7: Crews will begin removing the pavement on the east side of North Broadway starting at East Clybourn Street and moving north to East Wisconsin Avenue.

Crews will then move over to the west side of North Broadway to mill the pavement, moving south from E. Wisconsin Ave. to E. Clybourn St.

Tuesday, October 10: Asphalt will be poured on North Broadway from E. Clybourn St. to E. Wisconsin Ave.

Milling will begin farther north on North Broadway between E. Wisconsin and E. Kilbourn on both sides of the street.

Wednesday, October 11: Asphalt will be poured on North Broadway between E. Wisconsin and E. Kilbourn avenues.

Parking Access: Access to the parking garage on North Broadway and East Wells Street will remain open from 7:00 to 9:15 a.m. each day during the construction project. The exit onto North Milwaukee Street will be unaffected.

Access to the 250 East Wisconsin Avenue parking structure, located north of Wisconsin Ave. on the west side of North Broadway, will be maintained with some interruptions during the project.
