MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- New Year's Eve parties are taking place all over the Milwaukee area Tuesday night.
The city's biggest New Year's Eve party is at Potawatomi Hotel and Casino.
The celebration features DJs from Chicago and Milwaukee, casino games, and drinks -- with a champagne toast at midnight.
"We've got a cool dance floor that wraps all the way around the DJ, it's very Vegas-style," said Dawn Gardin of Potawatomi Hotel and Casino. "So you're gonna be able to party and enjoy the night, we'll have a countdown at midnight with confetti and everyone gets champagne. So it'll be fun for everyone."
General admission tickets cost $59, and VIP packages sold out.
Many were dressed their best to start the beginning of 2020, and they said there's no other way to ring in the new year than to celebrate with their loved ones.
"It's always cool to have someone -- you know, family, someone you love or dating -- to have that night, you know, at midnight," said Eddie Garcia.
Doors opened at 8 p.m., and more than 1,500 people are expected to attend.
