MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Packing House Restaurant held a fundraiser for Officer Charles Irvine's memorial fund on Friday.
They're raising money and bringing the community together to remember Officer Irvine.
The money raised will go directly to the memorial fund.
The owner of the Packing House says he knows the community is grieving.
People at the event say they want to support the family in any way that they can.
"Looking at the age of that young man and any death is a tragedy but they're just trying to keep our streets safe and they have that in their heart when they're hired to be a police officer. It takes a special kind of person," said one attendee of the fundraiser.
The fundraiser ran until 10 p.m.
