Packers trade back into third round, select LB Burks
GREEN BAY - The Packers pulled off another trade late Friday, jumping back into the draft's third round and selecting Vanderbilt linebacker Oren Burks with the 88th overall pick.
Burks may be moved to inside linebacker by the Packers, who have addressed their defense with each of their first three draft picks. Cornerbacks Josh Jackson and Jaire Alexander were the first two college players chosen by the Packers this season.
The trade for the 88th pick was completed with the Carolina Panthers. Green Bay sent two draft picks, no. 101 and no. 147 in the draft, to get Carolina's pick at 88. Brian Gutekunst has now made three trades in two days of the 2018 draft.
The draft wraps up tomorrow with the final four rounds of selections.
