Packers to introduce Super Bowl One alumni at home opener
Packers will welcome back Super Bowl I alumni and Packers Hall of Famers as a part of the Packers’ traditional alumni weekend celebration.
The alumni will make up the game’s ambassador line, and will be introduced from the field during halftime.
Green Bay Packers alumnus Esera Tuaolo will sing the national anthem. Additionally, two featured alumni are scheduled to make appearances Sunday; LeRoy Butler and Ken Ruettgers will be taking part in fan activities at the Tundra Tailgate Zone and Legends Club leading up to kickoff.
As Sunday’s game is the Packers’ home opener, the team is reminding fans to take extra care when purchasing game tickets from secondary sources. Fans are advised to buy tickets only from official sources and team partners such as NFL Ticket Exchange or Event USA, the official tour company of the Packers. Fans are encouraged to be diligent and do research before choosing to buy tickets from unofficial sources.
The Packers’ annual Coats for Kids collection will take place prior to the game in the Lambeau Field parking lot, beginning at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Fans attending the game will have the opportunity to donate new and gently used coats for distribution to needy children through the Salvation Army. Cash donations will be accepted as well.
