Packers Prepare for Family Night
The Green Bay Packers’ 2015 preseason is drawing near and just like every year, the green and gold will kick off the start of games with Family Night. Packers Family Night will be on Saturday, Aug. 8, at 6:25 p.m. The event looks and feels like a real game with fans packed into Lambeau, but no opponent takes the field. Packers Family Night is presented by Bellin Health this year.
This will be the 15th Family Night. The event features an 11-on-11 scrimmage with pads and full contact and ends with a fireworks show. The evening activities kick off in the stadium at 5:30 p.m., but the event consists of a day’s worth of activities beginning 11:00 a.m. including the Kemps Mooseum, PGA tour golf skills games and a display of animals from the Wildlife Sanctuary.
Entrance into the stadium does require a ticket, regardless of age. Click here for more information on Family Night.
According to the Greater Green Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau, training camp, along with Packers Family Night, will attract nearly 90,000 visitors from across the nation and as many as 20 foreign countries from July 30 through the final open practice on Aug. 31. With an economic impact estimated at $9 million, training camp is a financial boost to many area businesses.
