MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Some lucky Green Bay Packers fans are on their way to the NFC championship game.
Several people were sporting their green and gold gear at Mitchell International Airport Friday, Jan. 17 in anticipation of Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers.
A select few were fortunately heading to San Francisco to watch the Packers play.
One fan said he's excited to hopefully see the Packers in the Super Bowl this year.
“Looking forward to it. I was at the game up in Green Bay for Seattle. I’ve lost my voice from that game so I’m trying to recover for Sunday. Pulled my hat out of the archives. 10 years old, go Pack go! Never wore it til today,” John Kinzer said.
A 49ers fan was in Milwaukee for business and was headed back to California Friday to cheer on her team at the game.
“Yes, the 49ers are at home, so that will generally give us a little bit of an advantage. I think both teams have great players. I love Aaron Rodgers. I think he’s a great football quarterback. I don’t think it’s going to be easy either way. I think it’s going to be a battle,” Susan Luskin said.
The big game is Sunday, Jan. 19 in Santa Clara at 5:40 p.m.
