Packers Defensive Tackle Suspended

The NFL announced Packers defensive tackle Mike Pennel is suspended the first four games of the 2016 season.

The statement said he violated the NFL's substance and abuse policy.

With the suspension Pennell can still participate in off-season workouts and preseason.

He's going into his third year after signing as an undrafted free agent in 2014.

Eddie lacy wasn't undrafted. He was a second round pick that turned out a couple of really good seasons before falling off a bit last year. Big reason for his third season being his worst was his weight. Coach McCarthy has made it known that he wants lacy to be back in shape when the season starts this year.

He's hoping to get some reinforcement with new running backs Coach Ben Sirmans.
