Packers and Boston Store Partnering to help MPS Schools

The Green Bay Packers and Boston Store announced they have teamed up with Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) to expand PCA initiatives into Milwaukee Public Schools as part of the Packers’ “Community Partners” program.

PCA is a national nonprofit organization that provides positive character-building programs for youth and high school sports coaches, parents and student-athletes.

Through the support of the Packers, Boston Store and the “Community Partners” program, 5,500 high school student athletes, parents, coaches and administrators in Milwaukee will have access to 20 distinct PCA workshops during the 2016-17 school year.

The workshops provide information, inspiration and immediately practicable tips and tools that teach those involved in youth and high school sports how to capitalize on the opportunity sports present to help youth reach their potential as athletes and as people.

The partnership with PCA kicks off Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 10 a.m., with an interactive event featuring Packers player Micah Hyde and Riverside High School in Milwaukee. Guests and students will participate in PCA’s workshop titled Becoming a Triple-Impact Competitor®.

Established in 2015, “Community Partners” is a program designed for participation by multiple partners who are interested in joining the Packers in giving back to the community in Southeastern Wisconsin. Boston Store is the first partner involved in the program, and their involvement also has included the donation of coats to children at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee last winter.
