Packers activate Nick Perry, sign veteran running back
GREEN BAY - Nick Perry is one step closer to returning to dominace for the Packers defense this fall.
The Packers have activated Perry from the Physically Unable to Perform list, meaning the veteran can return to practice and get prepared for the team's opener Sept. 9th against the Bears.
Perry had ankle surgery in the offseason.
The Packers also signed running back Bronson Hill, who has spent time with eight other organizations since coming into the league in 2015. Hill has been active for regular season games with the Jaguars and Cardinals.
Mike McCarthy's Packers head to Oakland to face the Raiders this Friday in the third game of the preseason.
