18 displaced following fire at mixed-use building on Milwaukee's east side

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Red Cross is assisting 18 adults following an overnight fire at a mixed-use building on Milwaukee's east side, near North and Murray.
Heavy smoke could be seen billowing out of Kawa Ramen and Sushi's rear just after midnight on Wednesday, June 7. The building is also home to Tavolino, Izzy Hops Swig and Nosh as well as apartments.
In a post on social media Wednesday, Kawa Ramen and Sushi shared that they will be closed temporarily due to the fire.
The Milwaukee Fire Department says the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
