Over 160 students out sick with flu in Glen Hills School District

More than 100 students and staffers at the Glen Hills School District are out sick as a flu outbreak sweeps the district. This is the second day the district has had several children and staff out sick with the flu.

On the second day of the Glen Hills School District flu epidemic, over 160 students and 15 staff are out sick. That's more than the first day the epidemic hit the district. While the superintendent is calling it a flu outbreak, the North Shore Health Department was not notified of the outbreak.

The district says they offered flu vaccine shots, and are disinfecting schools nightly.

Parents in the district covering Glendale and River Hills were notified via robocalls. The Glen Hills School District will go into winter break on December 19.
