Oshkosh Police: Needle found in Halloween candy

OSHKOSH (WFRV) - Following numerous reports of dangerous items in children's Halloween candy, the Oshkosh Police Department says it's investigating a report of a needle found in candy.

They say the candy was collected on Oshkosh's west side, possibly in the area of Allerton Drive, Covington Drive, or Thornton Drive.

Parents are encouraged to thoroughly check their child's candy before letting them eat it. 

If you find any suspicious items or materials in Halloween candy, you're asked to immediately report it to your local police.

If anyone has information on this specific incident, you're asked to call the Oshkosh Police Department at 920-236-5700.
