Oscar's Frozen Custard to rebuild after devastating fire, receives donation from MVP Christian Yelich

BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Following a devastating fire that destroyed Oscar's Frozen Custard in Brookfield, the beloved restaurant announced they're going to rebuild -- and a hometown MVP is pitching in.
Following the exciting news shared to social media on June 5, Milwaukee Brewers superstar Christian Yelich -- alongside Visit Milwaukee and American Family Insurance -- surprised Oscar's with a $2,000 donation for the rebuild.
The fire at Oscar's happened back in November, but the custard shop has been a staple in the Waukesha County community since they opened in 1992. The cause of the fire was never determined.
The rebuilt Oscar's Frozen Custard will remain in the same location -- 21165 East Moreland Boulevard in Waukesha -- with plans to open in spring of 2026.
