MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Oscar's frozen custard is celebrating their 35th birthday and offering 84 cent single cones Tuesday night in honor of the year they first opened.
The family-run ice cream shop has vanilla, chocolate, Oscar's Delight, and birthday cake custard for sale.
Oscar's is a family operation -- Jim and Susie Taylor have been mixing up fresh frozen custard and making burgers since 1984. They say it all began during summer break when Susie was looking for a summer job.
"My dad said there's a really neat custard stand opening up on Highway 100, so I came and applied, Jim hired me, and that's where this story began and continues," said Oscar's co-owner Susie Taylor.
Susie and Jim are now married, and both own the custard stands. Their two sons, Jimmy and Zach, are part of the operation too.
There are three Oscar's locations, in Waukesha, West Allis, and Franklin. All are open until 11 p.m. Tuesday.
