One Taken by Flight for Life after Serious Fond du Lac County Crash

On Saturday, March 11 at 7:25 PM the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and Flight for Life were dispatched to a one vehicle crash with injuries on County Highway W and Kiel Road in the Town of Calumet.

Investigation showed the driver and lone occupant, 25-year-old Asael Gomez-Damaso from Johnsburg was traveling south on Highway W, when he lost control of his vehicle, striking a mailbox, entering a ditch, and causing the vehicle to flip. 

The driver was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was flown to Theda Medical Center with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. 

Speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.
