MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Now we're flipping to another season today, it really is the perfect time to get some dirt under your nails for spring.
One local non-profit called "Teens Grow Greens" lets inner-city teens focus on the garden. Thirty-five teenagers from both the north and south side make up the group. And they get to be part of a 9-month paid internship as well. A week from Saturday, there will be a special event at Weber's Greenhouse on Milwaukee's north side where spring cleaning and plant transplanting are on the agenda.
Next Saturday's event is called "Morning Do: Service w/Teens Grow Greens." Organizers are still looking for a few good folks to help. If you want to assist or maybe learn more about "Teens Grow Greens" in general, just click here.
