One Local High School Senior Rolling "in The Dough" with Cousins Subs Scholarship

One ordinary lunch hour on Tuesday became a whole lot more for a local high school senior.
18-year Claire Monzel from Rufus King International on Milwaukee's north side is now one of four finalists of the Wisconsin Sports Awards sponsored by Cousins Subs. The eatery is awarding $14 thousand overall to athletic students who show their skill both on and off the field.
Monzel plays softball and volleyball and maintains a three-point-five grade average while volunteering as several non-profits, including Hunger Task Force.
Monzel will find out on May 7th just how much she's being awarded. It could be up to five thousand dollars. Next year she plans on going to Drake University in Iowa to become a pharmacist.
