Milwaukee's own "Funky Fresh Spring Rolls" gets spiced up a bit with some grant money to help this small business grow. Owner Trueman McGee was one of ten winners nationally in the fifth annual FedEx Small Business Grant Contest. He's receiving $7500 and another thousand bucks in FedEx Office services. I was able to watch him make his product in action during Tuesday's morning show. And one thing is certain, at least to me, he really pays attention to detail.
The top prize winner of this small business contest, at least this year, took home $25,000. The criteria to enter include being for-profit, having less than 100 employees, and have been operating for six months or more. If you're interested in entering next year, click on this link.
