MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Milwaukee Police say a 43-year-old woman was killed and a 13-year-old boy hurt after the crash near 15th St. and W. Lincoln Ave.
It happened around 11:05 a.m. Authorities say an unknown suspect was driving a pickup truck eastbound on W. Lincoln Ave. at a high rate of speed. The driver of the truck lost control and collided with the 43-year-old woman's sedan. The 13-year-old boy was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The 43-year-old woman suffered serious injuries and later died at the hospital.
After the crash, the driver of the truck ran away from the scene. A passenger in the truck turned herself in to police. MPD is searching for the driver.
A nearby surveillance camera at La Canoa restaurant captured the crash.

The crash happened near 15th St. and W. Lincoln Ave. No other details are available at this time.
The family of the deceased has created a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses.
