One dies after SUV and semi-truck collide in Johnson Creek

An afternoon crash left one person dead and others injured in Jefferson County Tuesday afternoon. Authorities say the crash was between an SUV and a semi-truck.

According to officials, the crash occurred around 3:12 p.m. in Johnson Creek on State Highway 26. Information provided shows that the SUV was trying to make a turn onto State Highway 26 from Linmar Ln. when it hit the semi-truck.

A passenger inside the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene and other individuals in the crash were taken to area hospitals for their injuries.

Multiple agencies responded to this crash and it is still being investigated.
