On and off showers today, cooler and windy

Welcome to spring in Wisconsin, folks! Talk about a drastically different day today with occasional rain showers and a chilly wind off the lake. Rain will be on and off for Thursday as temperatures drop from yesterday’s high of 58 to the lower 40s. Winds will be gusting as strong as 20 mph with it feeling much cooler than the 40s. The best shot for the most rain will be in the southern sections of southeastern Wisconsin; northern areas will see far less. An isolated wintry mix could be embedded this morning.

High pressure begins to nudge in for Friday and Saturday with temperatures returning back to the 50s and near 60. Both days will be much nicer, especially on Saturday. Low pressure from the southwest will usher in another threat of rain on Sunday and Monday. Warming air streaming in ahead of the storm will keep everything in the rain form and it will be mild. However, a cool down is expected to blast the area for a chunk of next week. Highs will fall into the 40s.
