WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Olla family posted another update on their GoFundMe.

There are more hopeful signs for the recovery of 13-year-old crash victim Luciano Olla at Children's Hospital.

The new update says the teen is breathing on his own and is off the ventilator.

His mother says in the update that Luciano has made eye contact with her and has actually spoken.

He suffered a severe brain injury in the Germantown crash that killed his 15-year-old brother Valentin and injured his three other brothers.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Olla family has released an update on their GoFundMe page after five brothers were inside a car that crashed last week.

Their son, Valentin Olla, was kept alive by machine in the hospital so that his organs could be donated.

The family says five donors were matched.

The 15-year-old's heart, liver, kidneys, and pancreas will be donated.

They add that their son Luciano has seen small steps to healing over the past few days. On Monday morning, Luciano briefly opened his eyes when the doctor called his name.

A page has been set up for the family.

As of Tuesday afternoon, donations have surpassed $156,000 of a $200,000 goal.
