Ohio holds off Milwaukee to remain perfect at home
ATHENS, Ohio (AP) -- Antonio Campbell scored 19 points and added 10 rebounds as Ohio staved off Milwaukee down the stretch to earn a 71-69 win on Wednesday night.
Ohio led by just one, 59-58, with six minutes left, but layups on back-to-back possessions by Campbell and Jaaron Simmons pushed the Bobcats to a five point lead with 4:46 to go. From that point on, Milwaukee did not get within three points until the final shot of the game.
A Dan Studer jumper for the Panthers (4-6) cut it to 69-66 with 13 seconds left, but two Simmons free throws pushed it back to five and iced it.
Simmons finished with 14 points for Ohio (6-2), which is a perfect 5-0 at home this season.
Cody Wichmann scored 15 points to lead Milwaukee. August Haas and Bryce Barnes each added 11 for the Panthers.
