Obregon Bond Set at $250,000; Woman Assaulted Released From Hospital

Andrew Obregon made his first court appearance Thursday in Waukegan, IL where he was arrested by police. Bond was set at $250,000 on the eight charges he has in Lake County, IL. 

Obregon is currently being held in Lake County Jail. A preliminary hearing for the charges in Lake County and the status of extradition to Wisconsin for his crimes in Racine and Kenosha Counties is set for November 3. 

According to court testimony and previously reported by CBS 58, the car Obregon stole had OnStar. Authorities called OnStar which shut down the car forcing Obregon to abandon the vehicle and flee on foot.

The woman assaulted by Andrew Obregon, a 59-year-old female, has been released from the hospital and is recovering from her injuries. Police are not releasing her identity.

The motorcycle associated with Obregon has been determined to have been reported stolen out of the City of Kenosha. 

Additionally, the red Ford pick-up truck which was crudely painted black and believed to have been operated by Andrew Obregon has been recovered in Racine County. This vehicle was determined to have been reported stolen in Antioch, IL.
