Oak Creek man dies in I-43 accident in Ozaukee County

A 41-year-old Oak Creek man has died after the SUV he was driving collided with a limo bus on I-43 near Belgium Friday night.   According to the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office, the SUV was seen driving erratically around 5:50 PM as it was southbound on I-43.   The vehicle was reported to be weaving from its lane, varying speeds and at one point came to a stop on the interstate, before continuing southbound on the freeway.

As Ozaukee deputies attempted to intercept the SUV, it collided with a limo bus that was stopped on the shoulder of the highway near Ozaukee County Road D.  According to the Sheriff’s report, the SUV rolled over several times, coming to rest on its roof.   

The driver of the SUV died of his injuries.  The driver of the limo bus was not hurt.  The identity of the Oak Creek man has not been released.

The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the fatal accident.
