'Noche de los Sueños' in Madison to celebrate Latinx culture at Centro Hispano

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- One weekend event is taking a balanced, varied approach towards celebrating the area's Hispanic community.

Centro Hispano in Madison will host its final "Noche de los Sueños," or "Evening of Dreaming" event on Saturday, Sept. 9 at Centro Hispano's main plaza.

The event aims to celebrate the diversity of local cultures through music, mindful movement and culinary variety. Focused on community building, the event invites children, parents and families to participate.

Special guest Tía Leah’s Neighborhood will offer a multimedia, interactive experience designed to inspire curiosity and self-expression. A yoga session led by People’s Yoga from Los Angeles is also planned, aiming to encourage holistic wellness within the Latinx community.

The event will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. at 810 West Badger Rd.

Centro Hispano noted in a press release announcing the event that the overarching mission of "Noche de los Sueños" is to promote cultural understanding and unite the community while fostering new connections.
