WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Wauwatosa Fire says that the house fire was reported around 4:40 p.m. and was under control within 30 minutes.
The homeowner, along with multiple neighbors, said that lightning struck the house causing significant damage to the roof and chimney. Soon after the lightning strike, smoke was visible from the roof.
The first floor suffered minor damage.

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A lightning strike is believed to be the cause of a house fire in Wauwatosa on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Wauwatosa Fire Department, lightning struck a home near 72nd and Hillcrest around 5 p.m.
There was some damage reported to the home's attic and upstairs area.
The Wauwatosa Fire Department says the fire was put out quickly.
There were people inside the home at the time but there were no injuries reported.
There is currently no estimate of damages.
