Nine Fire Departments Respond to Wind Lake Home Fire

On Sunday, October 11 at 2:15 PM, Racine County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 22000 block of West Seven Mile Road in the town of Norway for a report of a house on fire. 

Wind Lake Fire and rescue along with the Town of Raymond, Union Grove, Franklin, Tichigan, Kansasville, Hales Corners, and Big Bend Fire Departments and the Racine Fire Bells responded. 

Upon the Deputies arrival the home was fully engulfed in flames. The residents of the home were away at the time of the fire. The fire caused extensive damage to the home. The scene is being investigated by the Racine County Fire Investigation Task Force. 

West 7 Mile Road was closed to through traffic for approximately four hours.
