Nine arrested after crash involving two stolen cars

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are investigating a carjacking that happened Friday, September 1 in the afternoon around 3L35 p.m. In the 1600 block of N. Farwell Avenue a Nissan Altima was stolen by several suspects.

Around 6:15 p.m. Friday evening, MPD officers located the car near 30th and Lisbon and as they were following it, a Chevrolet Forester crashed into the MPD squad.

Two MPD officers suffered minor injuries due to the crash.

Less than an hour later around 6:50 p.m., the stolen Nissan and a following Jeep were located by MPD officers. Near 27th and Vine, the Nissan disregarded a stop sign and hit a Mitsubishi Mirage that then hit another car.

The occupants of both the Nissan and the Jeep, which was determined to be stolen, fled the scene but were taken into custody.

Nine people were arrested for the incidents including two 15-year-old boys, a 15-year-old girl, a 12-year-old boy, a 13-year-old  boy, a 21-year-old man, a 27-year-old man, a 16-year-old boy, and a 17-year-old boy.

A BB gun was found inside the stolen Jeep.
