GURNEE, Ill. (CBS 58) – Six Flags Great America is opening a new roller coaster.
According to a news release, it will be the world’s largest loop coaster. The new ride is named ‘Mardi Gras Hangover’ and will feature a gigantic loop before suspending riders completely upside down.
The park will also debut a Mardi Gras Festival in the late summer. The ride is set to open in the spring.
Highlights of the new roller coaster include:
•World’s largest coaster of its kind
•100 feet tall
•360 degree revolutions with multiple inversions
•32 seats in unique “face-off” design, with guests seated back-to-back and face-to-face
•Inverted hang-time with riders suspended upside down for extended times
•The park’s 16th coaster
