PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Vantage Data Centers, the company behind the development of the data center in Port Washington, says they're working with Oracle and Open A.I. in making the newest data center a part of Open A.I.'s Stargate expansion.
Stargate is a part of a $500 billion infrastructure investment by Open A.I., Oracle and Softbank - a Japanese technology investment group.
President Donald Trump announced the Stargate investment last January, a day after taking office.
In its statement, Vantage says construction will create 4,000 jobs and once complete the data center will have 1,000 long-term jobs.
CBS 58 is working to verify that information.
Vantage says it expects the project to be complete in 2028.
