New COVID-19 testing sites open in Washington, Ozaukee counties

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- There are two new places to get tested for COVID-19 in Southeastern Wisconsin.

Starting Wednesday, Aug. 25, free tests are being conducted at the Washington County Fair Park in West Bend and the Ozaukee County fairgrounds in Cedarburg.

The tests will be conducted in the parking lots of both locations on Mondays from 8 a.m.- 2 p.m. and on Wednesdays from noon-6 p.m., excluding Labor Day.

The tests are self-administered shallow nose swabs for all ages. Test results are texted or emailed as soon as they become available, usually within 48-72 hours.

Residents can schedule an appointment at curative.com or can walk or drive up to the Curative vehicle without an appointment.

If someone is visually impaired, needs assistance booking an appointment, or cannot access their test results they should call Curative, Inc. at 888-702-9042.

Individuals who are experiencing symptoms but do not have a personal vehicle to obtain a COVID-19 test can request an at-home collection kit at https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/covid-19/collection.htm.

Patients with Medicaid can schedule a ride to a COVID-19 testing location with non-emergency transport by calling 866-907-1493.
