New campaign draws attention to sex trafficking in Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE -- A day after the F.B.I. announced a nationwide crackdown on child sex trafficking, a local task force is unveiling an awareness campaign to protect our children.

The F.B.I. says 13 is the average age of entry into the sex trade industry. A new public awareness campaign is plastering the number 13 on sidewalks, billboards, and bus shelters across the City of Milwaukee.

Milwaukee Health Commissioner Bevan Baker says, \"Most people think it can't happen in their neighborhood, can't happen in their community. But it's here, the data is clear. Human trafficking and sex trafficking is a big problem in the State of Wisconsin and the Greater Milwaukee area.\"
