MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – FEMA announced on Friday that $28.7 million of federal assistance has been distributed to 3,834 households in SE Wisconsin.
$16.3 million has gone towards housing assistance and $12.4 million has been used for other needs assistance.
FEMA has 200 workers in Wisconsin to help people apply who have not done so yet
To apply, people can visit disasterassistance.org, call 800-621-FEMA, or visit a disaster recovery center.
Congressman Bryan Steil told CBS 58 earlier this week that there are still millions of dollars available for people to get back on their feet.
If you have applied FEMA is urging you to continue to track your damage and stay in touch with FEMA.
The deadline to apply is Nov. 12.
