NBA highlights 10 Black-owned Milwaukee area restaurants as part of Black History Month initiative

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- In honor of Black History Month, the NBA has announced an initiative to highlight 10 Black-owned restaurants each day, in each city with an NBA team.
The goal is to encourage support for these businesses and to "address the racial wealth gap, strengthen local economies and cultivate careers."
Thursday, Feb. 2, the NBA is shining a light on the following Black-owned businesses in the Milwaukee area:

- Alem Ethiopian Village
- 307 E. Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee
- Confectionately Yours
- Sherman Phoenix Marketplace: 3536 W. Fond Du Lac Avenue, Milwaukee
- 1920 N. MLK Drive, Milwaukee
- Funky Fresh Spring Rolls
