Name Released of 66-Year-Old that Died in Accident on West Abert Place

Milwaukee County Medical Examiner released the name of the 66-year-old man who died in the car accident involving two teenagers that were believed to be in a stolen vehicle on North 10th Street and West Abert Place.

Henry Bailey was a rear passenger in a 2005 Chrysler Mini Van that was struck.

Bailey was ejected from the van.

According to a release by Milwaukee Police, the accident happened around 1:55 PM on Saturday.

At the time of the accident the van was heading was southbound on N. 10th street.

At W. Abert Pl. it was struck by a 2005 Jeep Cherokee that failed to stop for a stop sign. The victim was ejected from the van and suffered serious injuries, he was transported to a local hospital where he died.

The Jeep Cherokee had been reported stolen and was occupied by at least two individuals who fled the scene after the accident.

Responding officers located a 17 year old male and 16 year old female nearby, they are believed to have been in the auto at the time of the crash.

According to the Medical Examiner’s Report, there were five occupants in the handicapped van and three of the other clients were seriously injured.
